Children denied candy in celebration of best candy-receiving holiday

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs office announced it would hold a Halloween parade for children on Friday for employees’ children.
Instead of the usual trick-or-treating fare, in a wave of Michelle Obama-inspired madness, the VA told its employees not to give out any candy, The Blaze reported.
The VA said the day care center in the office “joined First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move Program,” which means children should get boring things in their jack-o-lantern buckets, like raisins and pencils.
“If you would like to hand out treats during the parade, please give healthy snacks such as pretzels, raisins, granola bars and sliced apples. NO CANDY PLEASE!” an email to employees shouted.
“Please help us teach our children to make healthy food choices!!”
